VIDEO : David Bowie Rejected Coldplay Collaboration

Celebrity in this news:

David Bowie once rejected the opportunity to collaborate with Coldplay, because the rock icon didn?t think much of the song. According to Coldplay drummer Will Champion, the Fame star worked with a number of his contemporaries in the 2000s, but he was not interested in a pitch from Chris Martin?s band. In a new interview with NME.com, Champion reveals Martin sent Bowie a letter asking if he would lend his vocals to a tune with a multi-part harmony, but the veteran musician responded by writing, ?It?s not a very good song, is it?? Will went on saying. ?He wouldn?t just put his name to anything. I?ll give him credit for that.? Bowie lost his battle with cancer on January 10, aged 69.
