VIDEO : Quentin Tarantino Confirmed His Films Belong To Connected Universe

Not unlike Marvel and DC, whom both have their own interconnected multimedia cinematic universes, the worlds seen in the work of film auteur Quentin Tarantino are also fraternal. In an interview with the Australian television show The Project earlier this week, the acclaimed director of "Pulp Fiction" and "Django Unchained" went on record that all of his films exist in the same shared universe. For years fans speculated this was true, noting that many characters in his film catalog share last names, and various mentions to the fictional Big Kahuna Burger chain restaurants and Red Apple cigarettes. Explaining his "realer than real" universe, Tarrantino said: "So From Dusk Till Dawn, Kill Bill, they all take place in this special movie universe," the director said. "So when all the characters of Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, when they go to the movies, Kill Bill is what they go to see. From Dusk Till Dawn is what they see." Tarantino's eighth big budget film, "The Hateful Eight," is currently playing in select movie theaters. Tarantino has previously stated that he'd make only two more films before retiring and hinted one of them would be a sequel to "Kill Bill" volumes 1 and 2.
