It didn't take long for Amy Schumer to respond, after 17-year-old Jackson Murphy, took a selfie with Amy Schumer at the Critics? Choice Awards on Sunday night and posted the selfie with the caption:
"Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that.
Ugh."
Schumer called him out, tweeting back:
" I get it. Cause I'm a whore? Glad I took a photo with you. Hi to your dad."
And that?s when the public backlash began in the media. Murphy?s apology came shortly after, along with Schumer?s perfect response and acceptance of his apology, noting his comment was a ?bummer?:
He twitted,
"I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I'm not a comedian and it wasn't
funny."
Amy than responded, "that's really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that."
