While Linda Perry may have missed out on an Oscar Nomination for her song "Hands of Love" in the movie Freeheld, she claims that one of the actual nominees' nod was fraudulent. Lady Gaga was nominated for Best Original Song for "Til It Happens To You" in the documentary The Hunting Ground, along with seven-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren. But on Monday morning, Perry tweet several times vaguely accusing Gaga of only singing the award nominated song, but not writing it. This would disqualify her from being nominated for the Oscar. Diane Warren asserts that Gaga did contribute to the songs' creation. Lady Gaga and the Academy Awards have not commented on the accusations.
