According to writer Simon Kinberg, the upcoming 'X-Men: Apocalypse' film will raise the stakes of the X-Men franchise to heights previously unseen. In a new Q&A video posted by 20th Century Fox, Kinberg says: ?I think in some ways it?s the biggest X-Men film we?ve ever done,? explaining that while the X-Men have faced threats to humanity and mutantkind before, this time the threat is global in scope: ??We?ve never done one of these movies where the whole world ? there?s like an extinction-level threat to the world. The whole world?s at stake. And I think it?s the biggest emotionally, too.? The bigger than ever 'X-Men Apocalypse' is scheduled to open May 27th, 2016.
