The late, great rock star, David Bowie achieved a very special milestone with his final album, Blackstar, when it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This achievement marks the second time a late artist debuted an album in the No. 1 spot after passing away. The first time was in 2009 when the soundtrack album to Michael Jackson?s This is It topped the charts shortly after his death. Album sales for the week ending January 14 represent Bowie?s best since 2013?s The Next Day, sold 85,000 sold in its first week.
