Even Chris Rock couldn?t resist pointing out how white the Oscars are this year. This year?s Oscar nominations are incredibly controversial based entirely on the fact that not one person of color was nominated for a major award. The hashtag #OscarsSoWhite immediately began to trend following the news ? and for good reason. Now, not only has the host of the Oscars called out the Academy for their lack of diversity, but Pinkett-Smith/'> Jada Pinkett Smith is debating whether or not to boycott the awards show altogether. Rock shared a new 15-second promo on Twitter calling the Oscars ?the White BET Awards,? just one day after the nominations were announced.
