On Thursday, Alan Rickman passed away at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer. Many remembered Rickman in a massive black cape with greasy hair in his eyes. But as an actor, he starred in many, many other films besides Harry potter. In Sense and Sensibility, he played the dashing, damaged Colonel Brandon. He fought heroically as the actor portraying an alien doctor in the sci-fi spoof Galaxy Quest. Dogma recognized his dulcet vocal abilities, making him Metatron, the voice of god. In Love Actually, Rickman played a cheating husband who broke Emma Thompson's heart. And the Christmas classic Die Hard gave Alan Rickman his classic role as German villain Hans Gruber.
