The movie industry was shocked Thursday morning when it heard the news of the passing of actor Alan Rickman due to cancer. Most known for his roles of Hans Gruber in Die Hard and Professor Snape in the Harry Potter series, Rickman was well respected and loved by most everyone who worked with him. Fellow Harry Potter alums reached out on social media all morning to express their condolences. Author of the series J.K. Rowling tweeted out "There are no words to express how shocked and devastated I am to hear of Alan Rickman's death". Potter star Daniel Radcliffe also reached out on Google PLus and said " Alan Rickman is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with"
