According to gossip website TMZ.com, Nick Carter was detained by police on Wednesday evening after he was allegedly involved in a scuffle at Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West, Florida.
Surprisingly the singer's occupation was listed as "none" on police documents obtained by the site.
Further details surrounding the incident are yet to be revealed.
This isn't the first time Nick has been in trouble with the police as he was also arrested in 2002, when he was aged just 21, in Tampa, Florida, after he was involved in a nightclub brawl.
The Dancing with the Stars finalist was cuffed on suspicion of refusing to follow police orders to vacate Pop City.
He was charged with a misdemeanour count of resisting and opposing a law enforcement officer without violence but was later released on his own recognisance.
