After 13 season on NCIS, Michael Weatherly will take his exit from TV's top series later this year.
The actor portrays agent Anthony DiNozzo for the hit CBS drama.
And for fans of the show, the last spark of hope for the Tony and Ziva days are over.
While speaking at the TCA press tour, CBS president Glenn Geller stated show runners have no plans to reprise Cote de Pablo's role on the show before Weatherly's curtain call.
Geller added executive producer Gary Glasberg and the writers are currently working out the details of the actor's on-screen farewell, adding that Weatherly's departure was his own decision.
Though there won't be an immediate replacement for DiNozzo, Geller said new characters will likely debut before the season's end.
