A petition from Star Wars fans is calling for movie bosses to bring back creator George Lucas to direct another installment of the sci-fi franchise. Lucas gave up creative control of the Star Wars franchise after six movies when he sold his Lucasfilm production company to Disney Company in 2012 for more than $4 billion. The first film without Lucas? involvement, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was released last month and is on course to become one of the most successful films of all time, but many fans want the writer/director back to direct another film, Episode IX, which is due out in 2019.
