VIDEO : Kate Middleton and Prince William to Visit Bhutan in 2016

Kensington Palace confirmed Friday that Duchess Kate Middleton and husband Prince William will be firing up the royal air transport for their first-time visit to Bhutan in 2016. Along with their first steps in the East Asian Buddhist kingdom, the trip will also coincide with the royal parents' previously announced official tour of India. According to the palace, this first-time visit comes as a request from Her Majesty's Government. William's father, Prince Charles, was the first British royal to journey to the Himalayan kingdom nearly when he made his visit nearly 18 years ago in 1998.
