Emma Watson who played Hermione Granger in all 8 Harry Potter films offered her support to her sucessor Noma Dumezweni. The Black actress will inhabit the role of the thoughtful know-it all witch when Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play opens later this year. Watson's response comes two weeks after Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling addressed the Internet outcry concerning the casting of Dumezweni. Rowling pointed out that there is nothing in the canon of her books that explicitly describes Hermione as white, black, or otherwise, and stated that she ?loves black Hermione.?
