VIDEO : Queen Elizabeth II Bestows Honors on Actors Idris Elba, David Oyelowo

Add an award from the Queen of England to the long list of achievements British actors David Oyelowo and Idris Elba have earned. According to Hollywood Reporter, the recognition came as part of the queen?s annual list of honors that come out each new year. The award is officially known as the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and includes recognition for contributions to the arts and sciences. In a statement, the star of Beasts of No Nation and The Wire, Elba, was effusive. Coming from the Queen, the award had special meaning out of all the other awards he had received. Selma star, Oyelowo, described the honor as a "beautiful full circle moment" having been helped by her son's charity before.
