2015 has been a good year for Kendrick Lamar. His parting shot for this banner year was to film a seven minute video entitled "God is a Gangster." The film showcase tracks from his recently album "To Pimp A Butterfly." The video features songs "u" and "For Sale?" as well as Lamar screaming alone with whiskey. But in the second half of the video, Lamar takes a more low-key, tranquil tone. This mood is more on-track with the atmosphere of the setting for the film. David Lynch's Parisian nightclub Le Silencio is far more scaled back than the settings of Lamar's other music videos. God is Gangsta was directed by Jack Begert and PANAMÆRA.
