Jeffrey Jacob 'J.J.' Abrams has essentially been crowned the king of science fiction, as the overseer of both the 'Star Trek' and 'Star Wars' franchises. His journey began after a Hollywood studio at just eight years old, after which he convinced his dad to loan him the family Super 8 camera so he could start making his own movies.
