Jeff Bezos has a belated holiday wish for Amazon. The CEO of the Seattle-based ecommerce giant is hoping Amazon Studios will win the highest honor in Hollywood: an Academy Award. Amazon Studio's hit show Transparent, has won several Emmies and its first film Chi-Raq is garnering Oscar buzz. The Spike Lee film follows the issue of inner-city violence in Chicago. The Dec. 4 release date helped position the film as an Oscar contender. To date, it's racked up an estimated $2.5 million domestically in theaters. The movie will also be available to Amazon prime subscribers following its theatrical run.
