Concussion tells the true story of Dr. Bennet Omalu who stumbled upon an insidious brain disorder affecting football players. Omalu said he wanted to use his knowledge to make a difference like Will Smith had. Smith said the script enlightened him about the dangerous effects of multiple concussions. As a parent with a son who played four years of football, Smith said he had no idea about the dangers.
