After the announcement of his departure from Konami, game designer Hideo Kojima has been asked not to attend the upcoming Game Awards 2015 in Los Angeles.
Despite developing the hit title Metal Gear Solid V through his studio Kojima Productions, the publisher will keep the acclaimed industry veteran from representing the studio and the game.
Both Metal Gear Solid V and Kojima Productions have been nominated for awards; the studio in particular has received the nod for Developer of the Year.
What will now be the last in his long line of Metal Gear games named through Konami; Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is up for four awards in total which includes Game of the Year.
