The cast has been chosen for Nicki Minaj's upcoming ABC Family series,"Nicki." On an Instagram post Minaj wrote on Instagram Friday, "I am honored and excited to announce that I've literally hand picked the main characters of my scripted series." The series is a single-camera comedy, based on the rapper's childhood, her family's migration from Trinidad in the 1990s, and her upbringing in Queens, New York. As confirmed by ABC Family in a news release, Ariana Neal will act as Minaj in her early years.
