The worldwide release of Star Wars: Episode VII ? The Force Awakens is finally almost upon us. Reviews of the December 14th showing have been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising director J.J. Abrams for recapturing the Star Wars magic of old. The main criticism ? if any- seems to be that The Force Awakens perhaps pays too much homage to the original three Star Wars Movies. EW's Chris Nashawaty praised the bittersweet ending of the STar Wars installment, saying that it hits just the right note, leaving fans eager to see the next chapter. New York Times' Manhole Dargis said JJ Abram did a good job balancing the need to escape into fantasy with the reality of modern day interconnectedness that his audience lives in. Deadline's Pete Hammond summed it up saying, "J.J. Abrams has taken George Lucas? baby and reinvented it for true fans of the early films"
