R&B icon PATTI LABELLE and filmmaker LEE DANIELS are set to be honored at the 2016 BET Honors. Producer and industry executive Antonio ?L.A.? Reid, George Lucas? businesswoman wife Mellody Hobson, and former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will also be celebrated for their career achievements and contributions to African-American culture at the annual event, which will take place in Washington, D.C. on January 23. The show will be hosted by comedian Arsenio Hall. And will air in America on the BET network a month after the ceremony. Last year?s honourees included Aretha Franklin, Motown Records mogul Berry Gordy and rapper/actor Ice Cube.
