Jennifer Lawrence may be one of the most down-to-earth actresses we've ever met, but she'll be the first to tell you she hasn't touched a mop since hitting big in Hollywood. During a TimesTalk chat on Monday, the 25-year-old actress sat down with director David O. Russell ?who she's worked with before on Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle ?and New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd to talk a bit about their upcoming film, Joy . Considering the movie recalls the story of the woman who created the Miracle Mop, Dowd can't help but ask Lawrence about her own personal choice in mops. "I'm gonna be honest," J.Law answered with a smirk on her face. "I haven't mopped my house since the first Hunger Games came out."
"I have a mother with O.C.D.," Jennifer tells the crowd, avoiding eye-contact with her mom. "She would give us all sorts of chores. 'And you need to do this and you gotta blah blah blah blah.' And you'd listen to it and be like, 'Oh my God!'"
J.Law continues, laughing a bit, "But she couldn't live with it not being done, and nothing ever got done well enough or fast enough. So I knew if I just kept watching TV for five more minutes, she was going to do it. So I got a lot of orders in the morning, but by the afternoon you were doing it."
At this point, we can vaguely hear Karen saying something from the audience, disagreeing with her daughter. "You don't think you have O.C.D.," the actress replies. "You think everyone else is messy!" LOL!
