According to Variety, Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett is in talks for a leading role in Thor: Ragnarok. However, Marvel had no comment on which role the actress is up for. Thor 3 pre-production in Australia will begin in January of 2016 and filming is set to begin in June of 2016 with Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo. It'll be directed by What We Do In The Shadows' Taika Waititi. Thor: Ragnarok will be released on November 3, 2017.
