The Bloomington Police Department released a search warrant which sheds light on Scott Weiland's death. The document describes what was found on the scene in painstaking detail: two baggies of white substance which later tested positive as cocaine, as well as a number of other medications, including Klonopin, Lunesta, Viagra, Buprenex and the antipsychotic drug Geodon. Furthermore, an affidavit released by police explained that authorities learned of the singer's death when Weiland's wife alerted a friend that she had not been able to reach her husband, prompting police to send an officer to "follow-up" on a possible overdose, which is when Weiland's body was found in his tour bus bedroom.
