VIDEO : Noel Gallagher: Adele Is Music For Grannies

Noel Gallagher was never to shy to say what?s on his mind, or what does he think about other musicians. This time it?s Adele?s turn to hear what does the Oasis? co-founder and chief songwriter think about her music.

Adele has just wiped an Oasis record from the history books, though she needn?t check her inbox for a congratulatory message from the Britpop big shots. Gallagher caught up with Australia?s Music Feeds for an interview which covered the past, the future and the current state of music.

On the current music scene, well, he?s not impressed. He said, ?Music has nosedived into f---ing blandness ? a sea of cheese. Lately, I?ve been asked about Adele. If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I?ll fucking tell them. Not because I have any sort of agenda or because I?m trying to whip up any kind of hysteria. I just don?t see what all the fuss is about. I don?t like her music. I think it?s music for f---ing grannies.?
Adele?s 25 ended its first week with sales of 800,307 copies, smashing the previous record of 696,000 set by Oasis' Be Here Now in 1997 -- although it must be noted that Oasis' set was released on a Thursday, when the chart sales week ran until a Saturday night, so it reached its mark in only three days.
