George Lucas predicts that Star Wars fans will enjoy The Force Awakens. While being celebrated for his work in the arts and culture at the Kennedy Center Honors, Darth Vader?s creative daddy said that he had seen JJ Abrams? take on the franchise he created and had nice things to say about it. Before selling Lucasfilm to Disney a few years back, Lucas had begun working on the next three films in the series, but none of that material was used by Abrams and company for either the main trilogy or the spinoffs like Rogue One.
