According to the Washington Post, the last time George Lucas used the internet was in the year 2000.
The Star Wars director confirmed in an interview he has assiduously avoided the Internet since 2000, partly to avoid reading criticism of his movies.
George is not involved with the upcoming Star Wars reboot, Star Wars: Episode VII ? The Force Awakens, which is the firstStar Wars film to be made by Disney since the director sold his Lucasfilm company to the studio.
He compares the sale of his company to the breakdown of a marriage and insists watching the new film will be like attending the wedding of an ex-wife.
George tells the newspaper , ?I call it like a divorce. There is no such thing as working over someone?s shoulder. You?re either the dictator or you?re not. ?
He adds , that now he?s faced with this awkward reality, which is fine. He gotta go to the wedding. His ex will be there, his new wife will be there, but he?s going to have to take a very deep breath and be a good person and sit through it and just enjoy the moment.
Star Wars: Episode VII ? The Force Awakens, which features original castmembers Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, is due for release later this month.
