A day before its December 1st release on DVD and Blu-ray, Rolling Stone premiered one of the deleted scenes that will appear as bonus content on the editions of Asif Kapadia?s acclaimed rock documentary ?Amy,? based on Amy Winehouse?s tragic life story. This clip features Winehouse at the 2004 Brit Awards, a night that would become a turning point in the singer?s meteoric music career, gushing over Beyoncé. In a voiceover, musician and friend Tyler James says it defined how she would see herself in the public eye and that it was the catalyst of her drastic weight loss and reeling body image issues. The clip also shows the late soul singer reacting with low spirits after losing the award for Best British Female to Dido, whom she would be compared to throughout her career in the British press. Since its summer release in theaters, ?Amy? has become the top-grossing British documentary of all time.
