Even though it was released in November, Adele?s 25 has become the year?s biggest-selling album in the US. The album has sold a record 3.38m copies sold in its first full week of release.
The tally for 25 is the largest for an album since Nielsen began tracking sales in 1991. The first-week sales for Adele?s third album puts the singer at the head of an elite club of artists, including Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Eminem and Lady Gaga, whose albums have debuted with more than 1m US copies.
