VIDEO : Filmmaker Roman Polanski Will Not Be Extradited to the U.S.

Roman Polanski will not be extradited to the U.S
after prosecutors declined to challenge a court ruling against it.

The prosecutors who sought the extradition on behalf of the U.S, will not appeal the court?s refusal of extradition after they found it to be ?right?.

The decision closes the case of almost 40 years and means Polanski is free to reside and work in Poland.

The director pleaded guilty in 1977 to one count of statutory rape for having sex with a 13-year-old girl during a photo shoot in Los Angeles.
