VIDEO : Ava DuVernay Unfazed by Quentin Tarantino's Diss to 'Selma'

This story first appeared in the Dec. 4 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. The uproar was swift when Quentin Tarantino dismissed Ava DuVernay and her Oscar-nominated civil rights film 'Selma'. In T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Tarantino told Bret Easton Ellis that the drama "deserved an Emmy." In the December 4th issue of The Hollywood Reporter Magazine, DuVernay shot back. She said about Tarantino, "I was surprised by how surprised everyone was. When you look at his work and his persona, there's nothing surprising about what he said." But DuVernay let the world know his comments didn't faze her. She said, "But it didn't bother me like so many assumed it would." Tarantino later clarified that he had never actually seen her movie.
