VIDEO : Spike Lee :'We Need to Have Some Serious Discussions About Diversity'

Spike Lee accepted an honorary Oscar at the film academy?s annual governors awards dinner in Hollywood Saturaday, where told the audience that it is easier for a black person to become US president than head of a Hollywood studio or network.
Lee said that "we need to have some serious discussions about diversity and get some flavour up in this."
Denzel Washington, Wesley Snipes and Samuel L Jackson accompanied Lee to the stage to receive his award.
The Director praised the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, for ?trying to do something that needs to be done?.
Isaacs announced a new five-year plan to improve diversity in the academy?s staff and governance.
