Gwyneth Paltrow brought "conscious uncoupling" to the public consciousness when she and Coldplay's Chris Martin announced their plans to divorce in a March 2014 Goop blog post. At the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York City on Tuesday, the Academy Award winner admitted she still can't believe the impact her breakup news had online. Paltrow told Yahoo's Katie Couric, "Even if you look back at the time my husband and I were separating and the philosophy of 'conscious uncoupling,' we broke the internet." She then added, "When you look back, you think, 'This is kind of a good thing to talk about. What if you break up in a way you could remain a family even though you're not a couple?'"
