VIDEO : Stephen Colbert Secures Second in Late Night Ratings

Two months into his tenure on prime-time television, Stephen Colbert has seized second-place in the late night ratings.
Having made a name for himself on Comedy Central, first as a correspondent on the Daily Show, and later as the host of the Colbert Report; critics wondered prior to his debut on CBS if his success from cable would follow.
Apparently it has.
Though Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show have the top spot secured in the ratings,Colbert has established a special echelon for late night comedy.
His show along with Fallon's are the only two with a million viewers or more on average for the 18-to-49 demographic.
And he's rating 50 percent stronger than his predecessor David Letterman from one year ago.
Media analyst Brad Adgate believes Colbert has found a niche.
