Gwen Stefani leaned on her The Voice co-star Blake Shelton post-divorce from longtime love Gavin Rossdale, and as we all know now, that friendship turned into romance and (unsurprisingly) a musical collaboration. Sources (friends and associates alike) explained to TMZ that Shelton really gave her self-esteem a boost. Apparently she told people close to her that Rossdale was a ?control freak,? controlling in their relationship often by saying ?disparaging things,? So when Blake came along, she was ?blown away? by his kindness. As one source put it, ?It made her feel good again.?
