Rockin' newly pink hair to match her signature pink guitar, Lambert captivated the audience with a powerful rendition of her normally tame ballad. Her performance was powerful and filled with emotion, possibly fueled by co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood making a playful dig at her divorce from Blake Shelton during the opening monologue. She was the epitome of a rocker chick and her stage and lighting only enhanced her performance. It looked like she started to tear up about halfway through the performance, which is understandable.
