21st Century Fox is reeling with a decline in overall sales for 2015's first fiscal quarter.
With revenue decreasing by six percent their first quarter profits also shrunk significantly compared to last year.
Down more than $1 billion compared to last year, Fox reported $678 million in profits for 2015's first quarter,
Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox stated the poor performance of The Fantastic Four reboot and the timing of key releases are the culprits of their diminished revenue.
Highly advertised and featuring a relatively star-studded cast, the Marvel-based film grossed under $170 million worldwide.
Murdoch's reference to bad timing may be related to The Martian starring Matt Damon.
Due to the October release of the film, it's advertising budget was subtracted from the company's earnings.
