Lena Dunham's journey through Halloween's past is pretty great. The Girls creator's latest Lenny Newsletter was a festive one, and it took readers all on a journey of her childhood costumes to illustrate that "Halloween Is for Amateurs." After describing what would seem like the perfect costume, Dunham tells her fans, "I am telling you this because I have spent 29 years failing at Halloween. I have never been cooed at, kissed, or celebrated for my wit and style on Halloween. In fact, each Halloween has been more demoralizing than the last." So, granted it's not yet Thursday, but Dunham decided to grace fans anyway with an early gift of throwback pictures.
