The Avengers are among the most popular superheroes in the world today, and filmgoers are eager for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to continue on the big screen with Captain America: Civil War in 2016. At the clear center of that popularity is the film and character that started it all ? Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr., the man who portrays Iron Man, aka Tony Stark, on the big screen has legions of fans in all age groups. Recently, the father of one such fan, a very special little boy suffering from Cystic Fibrosis, reached out to Robert Downey Jr. on Instagram ? and the surprising reply he got once again proved that Tony Stark does, in fact, have a heart. Robert Downey Jr. responded to an Instagram post from a father whose son Daniel has Cystic Fibrosis. The post shows a picture of Daniel and explains what a hard time he is having with bullies at school teasing him about his condition. He counters their insults by telling them that his chest ports are just like Tony Stark?s arc reactor. The Instagram post requests a simple comment or message from Downey just to brighten the spirits of Daniel while he?s in the hospital for his latest stint, after a child at school recently told him that all children with Cystic Fibrosis die.

Never one to go small, Robert Downey Jr. responded in kind via his official Instagram: Mr. Stark here. This is for Daniel (@envy_coatings) who was having a rough day recently. When I?m in the dumps, I?ve found this little getup to be helpful. P.S. Would you like to come to the LA premiere of Captain America: Civil War as my guest? If so, have your people call my people. All the best.
