Producers for the next Oscars broadcast have tapped the MVP of the entertainment industry as their next host.
His name, is Chris Rock.
From the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Rock will host the 88th annual Academy Awards show on Feb. 28.
Since entering the entertainment industry as a comedian, the infamous SNL cast member has branched into film on-screen and behind-the-scenes.
He most recently directed Amy Schumer's special at the Apollo for HBO.
He first held the honor in 2005 for the 77th Oscars.
During his opening monologue, the comedian joked, "Welcome to the 77th ? and last ? Academy Awards."
