A decade after his last hosting gig with the Oscars, Chris Rock is returning to the Academy's big night.
Broadcast on ABC, the film awards ceremony will air on Feb. 28 at 7.pm, Eastern Standard.
When Rock takes the Hollywood stage, he will host the 88th annual award show.
Having hosted the ceremony back in 2005, the return will be as familiar as it is refreshing.
According to the New York Times, Rock drew in an audience of 42.2 million viewers those many years ago.
This year's award show only drew in 37.3 million, making it the lowest rated award show for the Academy in six years.
During his opening monologue in 2005, the comedian joked, "Welcome to the 77th ? and last ? Academy Awards."
