According to Variety , Chris Rock is currently in talks to host Hollywood's biggest night of the year and an announcement is expected to be made shortly. At this time, the Academy spokesperson is not commenting on the hosting rumors. The actor hosted the prestigious awards show back in 2005 and sparked plenty of controversy after poked fun at several actors' talents, including Tobey Maguire , Colin Farrell and Jude Law ?which, you may recall, caused Sean Penn to rush to Law's defense later on in the evening.
