Jennifer Lawrence?s inspiring Lenny letter on the Hollywood wage gap and gender inequality has seemingly struck a deep chord with her work husband Bradley Cooper. One of Hollywood?s leading men and highest paid actors (#4 on Forbes? list making an estimated $41.5 million in 2015), Cooper has pledged to personally work towards close the wage gap any way he can. He and Lawrence co-starred in American Hustle, and last year?s Sony hack revealed that both she and Amy Adams earned relatively less than her male costars (including Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Christian Bale).
Cooper commented, ?[Adams] worked everyday on that movie and got paid nothing. It?s really horrible actually, it?s almost embarrassing.?
Adams ?should have been paid more than everybody? for her work on the film, Cooper explained, adding that he hoped Lawrence?s essay would ?allow people like Amy to also speak up.?
Inspired by Lawrence?s letter himself and driven to make change in the industry, Cooper then said he?s going to start pairing up with his respective female co-stars when it comes to salary negotiations before the films he?s interested in goes into production.
