Sam Raimi?s reboot of the Evil Dead saga is not just a nostalgia trip. Now branching into television, the show Ash vs Evil Dead, will not only play upon the past films but will build on their story throughout the show. Lucy Lawless, who plays the character Ruby on the upcoming show, detailed the specifics of her character's connection to Ash Williams and the Evil Dead. As the last remaining member of the Knowby family, Ruby is hunting down Bruce Campbell's anti-hero for revenge. Her father, Professor Knowby was the original holder of the Necronomicon in the movies. Ruby blames Ash for the plague released by the book. Now that he's released it again, she's teamed up with a female Michigan cop to put him in the ground.
