VIDEO : Ridley Scott, Joan Collins Among AMPAS Party Guests at London Film Fest

An AMPAS party held in London on Wednesday to celebrate the Academy?s newest European members had solid turnout of British industry figures who joined the Academy's leadership.

Held at the residence of U.S. ambassador Matthew Barzun in the grounds of Regent?s Park in the British capital and on the eighth day of the BFI London Film Festival, the party brought out such Hollywood veterans as Ridley Scott, Joan Collins, Patrick Stewart and Stephen Frears, alongside newer faces such as Tom Hooper and Asif Kapadia.

?This is part of our outreach to our members around the world,? said AMPAS president Cheryl Boone Isaacs. ?And we want to extend our reach with regard to the recognition of great talent around the world.?
