During an interview with the Washington Post, Eddie Murphy explained why he declined revitalizing his Bill Cosby impersonation for the SNL 40th anniversary.
The comedian and actor said, "If you get up there and you crack jokes about him, you?re just hurting people."
While responding to questions about a prepared skit for the anniversary show, Murphy stated he understood the recent news but also understood the atmosphere.
Murphy added that he could see how the sketch could be funny, he called it hysterical, but concluded there's nothing funny about it.
