Gwyneth Paltrow, actress and goop queen, has some important words when it comes to Hollywood?s notorious wage gap between women and men.
Regardless of the fact that she?s one of Hollywood?s biggest leading ladies, the gender inequality she experiences in comparison to some of her male costars is ?painful.?
Noting the disparity between her salary and Iron Man costar Robert Downey Jr.?s salary to Variety, Paltrow explained, ?Your salary is a way to quantify what you?re worth. If men are being paid a lot more for doing the same thing, it feels awful."
Although she does believe Downey does deserve all that he?s paid, she still doesn?t think that disparity is fair.
Paltrow said, ?nobody is worth the money that Robert Downey Jr. is worth. But if I told you the disparity, you would probably be surprised.?
