Former ?Friends? star David Schwimmer is to join the cast of sitcom ?Morning Has Broken,? which has been greenlit by U.K. broadcaster Channel 4. Schwimmer will play an American producer brought in to try to save a floundering breakfast-time show, ?Good Morning? with Gail Sinclair.? The role of the show?s host, the ?Queen of Daytime,? is taken by Julia Davis, who co-wrote ?Morning Has Broken? with Nick Mohammed. Davis, whose credits include ?Nighty Night,? said she is ?looking forward to experimenting with friends whose work I love.?
